How do I become a member?

To join the Lion Swimming Club is FREE. Please complete the club's application form giving details of your disability. This can be obtained from and returned to one of our volunteer helpers who are at The Eltham Centre on the days and times shown.

Club members are required to have a Greenwich Card, which can be obtained from the Eltham Centre and costs less for club members than the full Greenwich membership. You will need to state that you belong to the Lion Swimming Club.

Volunteer Helpers Needed

If you can spare a few hours once or twice a month to help our disabled club members use the pools we'd love to hear from you.

We need volunteer helpers for the evening sessions in the Spa pool and for the Sunday morning sessions in all three pools.

You will be asked to keep a note of the members attending the session, welcome any new members and generally keep an eye on everyone along with the lifeguard. Sometimes you will be asked to give assistance to members, such as: putting on shoes; helping with a coat; transferring people in a wheelchair between the changing rooms and the pool; holding open doors, etc.
For more info please contact: David on 020 8855 4277 or June on 020 8859 3998 or Margaret on 020 8302 5417. Alternatively, Contact Viv.
